The Public Security Directorate (PSD) has announced an increase in security and traffic measures to be implemented in conjunction with the results of the General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi).

This is part of a comprehensive security and traffic plan aimed at ensuring a safe environment for citizens and preventing violations such as gunfire, processions, and traffic rule breaches – according to the statement.

Major General Dr. Obaidallah Al-Maaytah, Director of Public Security, has instructed the implementation of this plan across all regions and governorates, establishing mechanisms to ensure public safety and prevent negative behaviors. He emphasized taking stringent measures against any threats to public safety and security.

Major General Al-Maaytah directed a firm approach to prevent gunfire incidents, with legal action to be taken against offenders. He highlighted the importance of community solidarity in preventing such criminal acts, which are rejected by society.

The security and traffic plan includes field coordination to monitor violations, operational procedures, and the deployment of both plainclothes and uniformed patrols for prevention and protection. It also covers traffic regulation, addressing reckless driving, vehicle modifications, and any other breaches of traffic laws that threaten road safety.

The PSD emphasized the crucial role of community awareness in rejecting these behaviors, protecting society from reckless actions, and reinforcing the security of all citizens and residents.

Additionally, the Public Security Directorate has set up a WhatsApp number (0797911911) for reporting unlawful gunfire and submitting photos and videos confidentially, along with the emergency number (911).

All information and observations received will be reviewed, and the Directorate urges everyone to cooperate in reporting such incidents, emphasizing community partnership and national responsibility to eliminate these incorrect behaviors.
